We're constantly hiring backend engineers, but I wanted to take this opportunity to tout my own hire because I'm hoping you'll come work with me... I'm pavlov on HN, been here for nearly two decades, and working in realtime media for a good while longer. Now I run the Video team at Stream and I'm looking for a Staff Engineer. You'd own the media plane of Stream Video. It's a modern stack: SFU in Go, cascading to handle very large audiences, ingest and recording fleets, global multi-cloud edge. Video is fundamentally different from request-based services, which means this is not just a seat in Stream's shared infra team, but a genuine Staff role with its own roadmap defined by you. Full-time role, hybrid with 3 days a week in our Amsterdam office, or remote from anywhere in the EU. Visa sponsorship for the Netherlands.
